ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Maria Mandroules completed her Bachelor of Nursing degree at the Cumberland College of the Health Sciences in 1996- a Faculty within the University of Sydney. She then furthered her studies, the first being a Master of Nursing (Critical Care) from the University of Sydney, and the second from the University of Newcastle- Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) in 2007. This was the first nurse practitioner university program offered in Australia, a course paving the way for the now almost 2,500 NPs in Australia. Maria also completed further studies at Central Queensland University in 2021 after returning to the workforce after a hiatus to be with her family.

Maria is a member of the Australian College of Nursing and the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners and has lectured for the Australian College of Emergency Nursing, the University of Sydney and has worked as a clinical educator for the University of Western Sydney, Nepean. She is currently working in Primary Health Care at a Gold Coast medical centre as a Nurse Practitioner candidate and loves treating patients with various presentations ranging from routine check-ups, women’s health, musculoskeletal injuries, immunisations and off course- skin related concerns!

In 2022 Maria also completed the world-renowned Derma Medical's Foundation & Advanced Cosmetic Injectables course. A wonderful addition to her skillset, and a procedure which is offered at her Gold Coast medical centre.

Maria’s has dedicated her professional life to helping others and she continues her passion for delivering quality care with fantastic results through her latest mission- Kioni Skin.
